Practicing photography as a hobby or a freelance job has become one of the widespread trends among youth in Morocco, but most of them omit the religious aspect in this concern, whether on purpose,or because they aren't conscious enough to understand that this simple activity may lead them to make sins & propagate temptation "Fitna".
I'm addressing this message to my Muslim brothers who are unaware of
I'm addressing this message to my Muslim brothers who are unaware of
photography dangers which can be a double edged weapon.
First thing's first , you all know that being a good Muslim is doing what Allah & Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) have ordered ,and you definitely know that Hijab is an obligation for Muslim women , and so is lowering the gaze "Rhad El Bassar" .
Therefore, when some of you take a picture of an unveiled girl no matter in what pose or from any angle & publish it to public, you should know that you're actually breaking one of Islam rules , because you're diffusing an image containing a phenomenon that is basically forbidden , plus , people who see this work of yours may fall emotionally influenced by the charm or beauty of the person in the picture, and that's a way to spread temptation "Fitna".
The same goes even for veiled girls , because you can't assure the "lowering the gaze" rule, people can stare at the picture in both situations, and a real Muslim girl won't even come asking you to take her a picture because it is highly prohibited to talk with strange women unless it's an allowed necessity, for that the Devil is always there to twist your intentions & slowly lead you to corruption.
Accordingly,I advise you & myself to stop Women photography once for all ,this way you'll avoid a sinful deed that may continue adding sins to your account each time someone sees this picture you have taken,or shares it to another audience.
This is not that complicated as it looks,on the contrary,it is very simple,be determined to change and you can do other stuff with your camera instead of getting involved in a suspicious issue.
For instance, you can show people the greatness of Allah through wildlife or landscapes photography ,or go for architecture & still life photography, etc. They're all Okay ,& thus you keep your relationship with Allah regarding this subject, pure.
I hope I succeeded the delivery of my thoughts to all of you,& remember I've been there too,you don't have to do the same since you have the opinion of a live testimony.be smart!
May Allah guide us to find the right way & never go astray, ameen.
