I find it extremely bizarre (I'd rather say egoistic) that some people want you to offer them utter affection and attention, they want you to be the one reaching out to them all the time, but they're not ready to give anything in return.
This is not how "Human Bonding" works. In fact, this whole process that I personally call "emotional operation" should be executed mutually, and thus collaborative work is highly required for it to succeed.
So don't expect "Consistency" while you are not willing to contribute. Step out of your narcissism and take the initiative to build social interaction with the ones who matter, you have to invest in the relationship too, because if you constantly depend on their efforts, there will come a day when they'll get fed up and just take off.
